Man Utd boss to push through Torres deal

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is determined to prise Fernando Torres away from Atletico Madrid.
The Times says Ferguson hopes to be given permission next week to proceed with a bid to sign Torres, with sources indicating that Atletico's resolve may be severely tested if an offer in the region of £25 million arrives from United.
Real Madrid and AC Milan are also chasing Torres, though he has expressed an ambition to play in England should he ever leave the Vicente Calderon.
