Galatasaray are making a £2 million bid for Real Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen.
The Denmark international isn't part of new coach Fabio Capello's plans for the coming season and will be sold in the coming weeks.
Galatasaray made their interest known to Real before June, but were informed that nothing could be decided until after last Sunday's election.
With Ramon Calderon now installed as new president, the Turkish giants will send a delegation to Madrid next week with a view to closing a deal for Gravesen.
