Chelsea are chasing Arsenal's young Danish striker Niklas Bendtner.
The Mirror says Chelsea sporting director Frank Arnesen is on the trail of Arsenal's 18-year-old Danish striker Bendtner who is the hottest prospect in Scandinavia.
The move comes less than a week after Chelsea signed Ashley Cole from the Gunners in a £20m player-plus-cash deal that also involved Frenchman William Gallas.
Bendtner is regarded as one of Denmark's most exciting prospects and has already broken into the full national team, scoring on his debut.
Arsenal have loaned him out to Birmingham this season but Chelsea believe he is destined for bigger things and are ready to make a serious attempt to sign him to boost their youth set-up.
Chelsea's Danish scout Benny Nielsen said: "Frank told the club about Nicklas a long time ago and I have also told them it is important to keep a close eye on him in the coming years.
"Bendtner is the only player from the Danish national team who is good enough to play for Chelsea."
