£100 million for Hammers

Video Safari

Kia Joorabchian is seeking backers to the tune of £100 million to make his West Ham dream come true.

The Mirror says the London-based Iranian financier revealed he is the mystery man behind the attempt to buy out chairman Terry Brown - but sources close to him reveal that he has not got the money together yet. Joorabchian is hoping that some of the backers behind his MSI project will join him at West Ham. He is also keen to recruit horse-racing multimillionaire Michael Tabor.
There could even be a move for billionaire Philip Green, who has been romanced by football clubs before but has declined to get involved.
Joorabchian is keen to have a British element in his group, although the size and identity of it is still being worked out.
