Gunners let Blues off

Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood says they'll cop Chelsea's claims against William Gallas on the chin.

The Gunners chief admits he was astonished when the champions released a statement criticising the behaviour of former Blues defender Gallas.
They accused the Frenchman of refusing to play for Chelsea if he was not allowed a transfer and of threatening to score an own goal if forced to play.
Gallas joined the Gunners on deadline day in the deal that took Ashley Cole to Stamford Bridge.
But Hill-Wood does not want to pursue the matter despite the widespread outrage caused by Chelsea's behaviour.
He told The Sun: "I have no idea why Chelsea issued that statement. That is something you will have to ask them.
"It's certainly not something I or anyone at Arsenal would have done.
"After 18 months of headlines generated by Chelsea's move for Ashley Cole, we hoped that last week's transfer would finally have been the end of it all.
"But I don't see why we should make a complaint to the FA or the Premier League about this latest episode.
"I really think it's best just to leave the matter alone."
