Torres desperate for Man Utd move

Atletico Madrid skipper Fernando Torres is waiting anxiously for Manchester United to make a bid for him this week.

The People says the 22-year-old star is hoping United can put together a package to take him to Old Trafford - and is in constant touch with agents who are trying to make the deal happen.
Despite publicly stating he was happy to stay in Madrid for another season, Torres is privately desperate to join United.
However, there are concerns United are struggling to raise the £27 million needed to convince Atletico to sell, having already committed £14.5 million for the capture of Michael Carrick from Tottenham last week.
