Spurs offer Murphy, Reid for Wigan's Chimbonda

Tottenham are ready to make a multi-player swap offer for Wigan Athletic fullback Pascal Chimbonda.

The Mirror says Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is ready to offer cash, plus Danny Murphy and Andy Reid, in exchange for France international Chimbonda.
Versatile Murphy only joined Spurs from Charlton a year ago but has struggled to make an impact and is obviously surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane. Chunky leftsider Reid has also been linked with a move away after failing to live up to his reputation since his move from Nottingham Forest two years ago.
However Wigan are determined to keep Chimbonda until Spurs get closer to their £6million valuation and the haggling - and angry words - could continue this week.
