Matchwinner Manu Adebayor dedicated his goal in yesterday's victory over Manchester United to his missing Arsenal teammates, Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie.

He said: "When they're not able to play I must do it. This goal was for them and for the team. It's our first win and now we will build on this."
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger added: "We showed great mental strength to achieve this result - especially after we missed the penalty because, the way our luck has been, the players' heads could have gone down.
"We were effectively a goal down at that point but we showed great strength and determination to come through and win.
"We needed to win this match because in the last three games we have come out with the absolute minimum. We have been unlucky and deserved more and I feel we deserved to win this game."
Wenger left Manchester satisfied he had witnessed his best victory over the Red Devils so far. He added: "Given the pressure we were under before the game and the young players in the team this was the most complete win - and most satisfying."
