Chelsea beat Man United

Video Safari

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is set to land Corinthians ace Carlos Tevez - and send him on-loan to Rennes.

The Mirror says Abramovich has been on the trail of fiery Tevez for a couple of seasons and has close contacts with his Brazilian club Corinthians. Tevez wants out of Brazil and the MSI investment group, who own Corinthians, would like to cash in on him now but Chelsea would not be able to give him a guaranteed game.
Abramovich would keep Tevez sweet by allowing him to play regularly for Rennes.
Then Tevez would be brought back to Stamford Bridge in the next transfer window - or maybe next summer. Corinthians would be paid around £20 million eventually.
