Baptista said 300 times: I'm not leaving
Tottenham are considering a move for Real Madrid attacking utility Julio Baptista.
The Guardian says Tottenham have lined up a deal for the Brazilian from which Real Madrid would expect to net £12.85m.
Baptista is opposed to the move and though he has been told he is unlikely to play many games for the Bernabau club this season, he would prefer to remain and fight for a place than to transfer to White Hart Lane.
"I have said 300 times that I don't want to leave Madrid," he said.
Baptista earns marginally more than £20,000 per week after tax, which if Spurs matched it, would make him among the highest earners at the north London club.
