Totti set to retire from Italy

Italy playmaker Francesco Totti has dropped his clearest hint yet that he will end his international career, following the Azzurri's World Cup victory in Germany.
The Roma captain has still refused to make a final announcement on his future, but has indicated he may well quit at the peak of the game.
He reaffirmed his desire to be closer to his family after the final victory against France, and speaking at Italy's celebrations in Rome on Monday seems to have left himself little room for a U-turn.
"It's hard quitting the national team after a big result like this. But I have already made my decision and I'll announce it later," the 29 year old explained.
