Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to meet West Brom's asking price for defender Curtis Davies.

The Telegraph says with Sol Campbell being allowed to leave, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who has admitted past interest in Davies, an England Under-21 international, is set to match Albion's asking price of around £8 million.
Bryan Robson, the Albion manager, recently admitted: "If a big club comes in with massive money, then you don't know what might happen."
The deal is should to upset Arsenal rivals Tottenham, whose £3.5 million offer for the player was rejected in May.
