Chelsea hand Drogba £120,000-a-week deal
Chelsea are preparing a massive £120,000-a-week contract offer for Didier Drogba to ward off Olympique Lyon.
The People says Drogba, who has always been wanted by Lyon, has confessed he is in regular touch with them.
His contact is the highly influential Bernard Lacombe, special adviser to Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas.
Drogba revealed: "I have kept up very good relations with Bernard Lacombe since they wanted to take me two years ago.
"We do talk to each other. We get on well as strikers."
Chelsea hope to persuade Drogba to stay at Stamford Bridge with a new double-your-money offer. The striker's current deal expires at the end of next season.
