Showdown talk motivate players

Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello has revealed showdown talks last week was key to last night's impressive 2-0 defeat of Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Capello credited last Sunday's shock defeat at Getafe for the turnaround, revealing: "We had a serious talk following the Getafe defeat.

"After that there was a complete change in the team. I'm sure the turning point came after that discussion.
"This team is now playing like a team, it has both spirit and quality.
"These are three important points, bring us closer to Barcelona and are a major psychological boost for the players." Capello's side convincingly despatched their rivals with a goal in each half from Raul and Ruud Van Nistelrooy, which moves them to within two points of Frank Rijkaard's team after seven rounds of the Spanish League.
Rijkaard said he was not upset by the defeat.
"We've lost a game but we've not lost the league," he said. "We have to accept it but it doesn't mean we will lose sight of our final objective. We have to learn from this, be self-critical and regain our confidence with hard work.
"We lost a game 2-0 at a difficult ground and we have to accept it but it doesn't mean we will lose sight of our final objective.
"I'm not upset but I am disappointed because of the defeat. We fought hard but we couldn't take our chances and they did."
