Villa break Atletico Madrid's heart

Valencia striker David Villa struck the winner as they took all three points away at Atletico Madrid yesterday.

The Spain striker, who scored three while on international duty with his country last week, struck after just seven minutes to put his side ahead and they missed further chances to extend the lead as they created the clearer chances.
Atletico, keen to impress in their first home
game of the season, pressed for a reply and looked to have the advantage when Valencia's Emiliano Moretti was sent off after 65 minutes.
But 10 minutes later Atletico captain Fernando Torres also saw red and Valencia were able to make it two wins from two in the league.
Atletico coach Javier Aguirre was adamant they should not have been beaten: "Football is a game like that. Against Racing we did not deserve to win, today we did not deserve to lose.
"We were the better team with eleven and then ten players.
"After they scored, we rushed our passing and failed to be patient. But we always looked the better side.
"It's crazy. They scored from a silly error which should not have happened. It's something we must work on."
