Real Madrid choose Reyes over Robben

Real Madrid sports chief Predrag Mijatovic has revealed they chose to sign Arsenal attacker Jose Reyes ahead of Chelsea's Arjen Robben.
"Robben was interesting, but in the end we changed ideas and we showed preference for Reyes, who is Spanish," said Mijatovic.
"He was not an unexpected signing. I traveled to London over four or five weeks to sign two players who were not happy at their clubs.
"I have been in contact with Reyes with the permission of Arsenal. We have bought a very fast player, with speed and strength in one-on-ones."
