Torino president opens door to Vieri signing

Torino president Urbano Cairo has refused to rule out a move for striker Christian Vieri.

Christian Abbiati and Beppe Pancaro have both urged Cairo to go for their ex-AC Milan teammate after Vieri had his Sampdoria contract cancelled last Friday.
"There's a very beautiful friendship between Pancaro, Abbiati and Vieri," said Cairo. "For the moment there is no negotiation.
"If we have the possibility of dealing we will consider it at the time. The motivation of the player counts a lot also."
Meanwhile, Torino coach Gianni De Biasi says he's open to the potential signing of Roma defender Gianluca Comotto.
"We have already Pancaro and Martinelli that covers that position very well, but if you want a headline you can say that Comotto interests us."
