Inter Milan's Figo rejects Sporting Lisbon

Inter Milan winger Luis Figo has ruled out a return to former club Sporting Lisbon.

The 33-year-old former Portugal international has been linked with a return to his former club in recent days but insists he is happy in Italy.
"It is premature to talk about a return home, I still have a year on my contract left with Inter and I intend to fulfil it," he said.
Figo added that he would consider ending his playing days in Portugal, but he is not yet ready to bring the curtain down on his career, despite retiring from the international
game this summer.
"Sporting will always be my club, independent of the fact that I may return to play for them," he added.
The Inter midfielder has joined the rest of his team mates in a pre-season trip to Mallorca.
However, not on the trip is striker Obafemi Martins, although it is understood his absence is not related to consistent speculation he is on the verge of a move away from Milan.
The Nigerian striker has been left out as he continues to suffer from flu and will instead train in Italy when he recovers.
