Arsenal captain Thierry Henry has pleaded with the board and manager Arsene Wenger to buy big before the summer market closes.
He told The Sun: "It is more than vital we get players in. We want to get back to where we were last year.

"We can build on what we did in the Premier League and in getting to the Champions League final.
"We want to go back and finish the job. But a lot of other teams want that. Clubs are getting players in across England, not just in London. Tottenham have spent well, Newcastle and Liverpool as well.
"Our defence needs strengthening. We also have a number of players out on loan at the moment.
"No disrespect to our youngsters but we must get some more players in. We have a lot of good young talent and good players.
"But we MUST buy players. Arsene knows that and the fans know that. When I am out in the street fans come up to me and say: 'Who are we going to buy?' You never know what is around the corner and in three months' time I may look back and say we came out of it well.
"After last season our youngsters certainly know that they are capable of achieving."
