Big boost for Valencia

Valencia new boy Fernando Morientes is confident ahead of his UEFA Champions League return against Salzburg on Wednesday.
The former Real Madrid man made his name in the tournament, while at Monaco, but left Liverpool this summer after failing to shine in his year and a half in England.
But the 30-year-old should now line-up for his new club in their vital first leg qualifier against the Austrians this week and he is in a cautiously buoyant mood ahead of the tie.
"The atmosphere in the squad is fully focused and there is no complacency," Morientes enthused.
"The team are prepared perfectly for this round. For us this is a final.
"The fans are with us and the atmosphere will be magnificent. In the first match a goal is key for us.
"We are not over-confident because Salzburg have dangerous players both on the field and on the bench."
Meanwhile, the Estadio Mestalla outfit should be boosted by the news that prize Italian defender Emiliano Moretti looks set to extend his deal at the club.
Moretti is contracted to the Liga giants for another two seasons, but now looks set to commit his future in Spain until June 2011.
"All is closed and I am waiting for the signature to become a reality this week," the player's agent Federico Pastorello confirmed.
"This was not an easy subject, but finally Valencia has valued the player correctly and we are all happy."
The 25-year-old has had a €30 million buy-out clause instituted into his new contract, and he seems more than happy with the deal.
"Now I am happy living in Spain and I am hugely motivated for this season, with the opportunity to play in the Champions League," Moretti explained.
