Corinthians seek to end Man Utd rumours over Tevez

Corinthians insist no bid has arrived from Manchester United for striker Carlos Tevez.

Tevez is rumoured to be unhappy at the Sao Paulo-based strugglers - he recently had an altercation with supporters - and has been mentioned as a possible replacement at Old Trafford for Ruud van Nistelrooy, who has joined Real Madrid.
But Corinthians and club financiers Media Sports Investments released a statement on corinthiansfutebol.com.br on Friday insisting the 22-year-old is not for sale.
It read: "Corinthians and Media Sports Investments (MSI) wish to
state that the rumours about the sale of Carlos Tevez to Manchester United are not correct.
"MSI have never received an offer or had any contact from the English team about the forward."
