Bolton accept Borgetti bid

Mexican hit-man Jared Borgetti has edged towards an exit from Bolton Wanderers after the Premiership club accepted a bid for the striker from Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad.
The 32-year-old, who had been linked with Spanish outfit Racing Santander, has not made the expected impact in The Premiership since joining The Trotters last summer from Mexican outfit Pachuca.
Borgetti is now expected to travel to the Middle East to discuss personal terms with his Saudi suitors after boss Sam Allardyce confirmed a bid had been accepted for his services.
"Jared has not travelled to Spain with the squad and I am hopeful the deal will go through this week," Allardyce told the club's official website.
"It hasn't worked out for Jared at Bolton. He needs to find regular football to enhance his career prospects."
Borgetti was largely limited to cup starts at The Reebok Stadium last season, and scored just seven goals for The Trotters as Kevin Davies led Allardyce's attack.
