Blackburn, Portsmouth battle for PSV's Ooijer

Blackburn Rovers and Portsmouth are battling for PSV Eindhoven defender Andre Ooijer.
The Mirror says Rovers boss Mark Hughes met Ooijer at the weekend about a move to Rovers but discovered that Pompey have also been making offers to him. However, Rovers are still hopeful of tempting the Holland ace.
Ooijer, 32, and his agent made a surprise visit to the Blackburn team hotel to discuss the transfer and could head to England today to have a medical.
