Henry to help Arsenal win Ribery race
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is set to win the race for Olympique Marseille winger Franck Ribery.
The Sun says Wenger intends to use part of the £20 million raised from Ashley Cole's sale to Chelsea this week to land the France international.
Ribery joined Marseille only last summer after walking out on Turkish giants Galatasaray following a contract wrangle.
Manchester United and Lyon were also hoping to sign him. But Thierry Henry has helped persuade his French team-mate to plump for the Gunners.
Ribery's arrival will be a major coup for Wenger as he tries to build his squad for their first season at the Emirates Stadium.
Marseille dropped Ribery from their squad for yesterday's 0-0 draw with Sedan, indicating he will soon be on his way.
