Ranieri: Mourinho's Chelsea job on the line

Claudio Ranieri believes Jose Mourinho will be on shaky ground at Chelsea if he fails to deliver the Champions League to Roman Abramovich this season.

The former Chelsea manager said: "If Chelsea do not win the Champions League, it will be a failed season. I know the Russian magnate well. He has a single objective in his mind: to conquer Europe. And he has spent a mountain of money in order to deliver to Mourinho a perfect team.
"On paper they seem invincible.
"Shevchenko in London does not seem strange to me. Abramovich wanted him also when I coached Chelsea. Unfortunately at that time Berlusconi refused to name his price."
