Beckham hesitate to sign new deal

Premiership clubs are monitoring David Beckham's contract stand-off at Real Madrid.
The People says there has been yet another delay in contract talks - and that is bound to spark fresh interest from English clubs who could sign him on precontract from next January for NOTHING. New club president Ramon Calderon has made it clear he wants Beckham to pledge the rest of his career to the Madrid club.
He said: "We are in agreement to extend his contract. Beckham tells me he is happy in Madrid, that his children are happy, that Brooklyn speaks Spanish."
But the complete overhaul of Real's personnel has meant Beckham's new deal has been put on the backburner and he and his advisers now want to see how the season shapes up before committing to what would almost certainly be the final contract of his career.
