Maradona brand Ronaldinho as a failure

Diego Maradona has branded Ronaldinho's World Cup campaign as a "failure".

Argentine legend Maradona said of the Barcelona star: "It is hard to explain what happened to Ronaldinho in the World Cup.
"If I had to
bet on somebody doing well, I'd bet on Ronaldinho, without a doubt. Then you'd go for smaller bets on Messi, Riquelme, Fabregas - but it is inexplicable what happened to Ronaldinho. Now he's back playing well and wanting the ball again and again.
"Brazil were wrong with the way they played. They played with fear. If Brazil, with their power, had pressed down the accelerator they would have won all their
games 4-0.
"Ronaldinho missed (Samuel) Eto'o. He needed him, or someone like me. You had Adriano, Ronaldo, Robinho, the hare, it was overloaded.
"But Ronaldinho isn't overrated, he failed in five games when he shouldn't have, that's all. Kaka struggled as well and the years appeared to catch up with Roberto Carlos and Cafu."
