Portsmouth are launching an ambitious bid to land PSV Eindhoven striker Jefferson Farfan.

Pompey are set to smash their transfer record by landing Peruvian hotshot Farfan from PSV Eindhoven for £13million.
Farfan, 21, is set to agree personal terms and will become Pompey's second summer signing following the loan deal for Chelsea defender Glen Johnson.
Super-agent Pini Zahavi is brokering the deal with the Dutch giants as Harry Redknapp begins to spend co-owner Sacha Gaydamak's millions. Chairman Milan Mandaric said: "He is a good player and we are looking to improve our squad. We plan to make several signings in the next few weeks."
Farfan scored 21 goals for PSV last season and was linked with a move to Chelsea in January.
His arrival would eclipse the £4.1m Pompey paid for Benjani Mwaruwari from Auxerre last season.
