Scolari accepts defeat

Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari was in philosophical mood following his side's World Cup semi-final defeat to France.
Scolari was far from happy with the match officials and remonstrated at the full time whistle with Uruguayan referee Jorge Larrionda - whose decision to award France a first half penalty was crucial.
Afterwards Scolari seemed to accept what had happened and admitted his side wasted their own chances to take something from the game.
"There are situations that are difficult," he said.
"It was deserved victory, definitely, for France
"We did everything we could, we did our best. Congratulations to France.
"We have to accept this. We knew it would be a difficult match.
"We had a few chances but unfortunately didn't do it and lost."
Scolari's contract with Portugal is due to expire but he refused to be drawn on his future.
"I have a contract until the end of July then we'll see what happens," he said.
