Middlesbrough pull out of deal for Chelsea's Huth

Middlesbrough have pulled out of their deal for Chelsea defender Robert Huth.
And there is little prospect of the transfer being revived which could alert Everton, Wigan and Newcastle.

Boss Gareth Southgate was hoping to seal the deal yesterday after the German told Boro he would sign for them following the World Cup.
But the medical showed up a problem with the ankle injury which forced Huth, 21, to miss Saturday's third-placed play-off with Portugal.
And Boro decided they could not go through with such a big-money move with doubts over his long-term fitness.
Southgate admitted: "It's one of the things I'm learning very quickly. It's not easy bringing players in.
"There are lots of obstacles to overcome."
