Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez must sell before he considers bidding for Feyenoord striker Dirk Kuyt.
The Times says Benitez still holds an interest in Kuyt, despite the forward's indifferent form for Holland in the World Cup finals.
However, Feyenoord's valuation, which is likely to be in excess of £10 million, means that it is a non-starter unless funds can be raised by selling Jerzy Dudek, Djimi Traore and Anthony Le Tallec.
