Inter Milan are closing in on a deal for Juventus midfielder Patrick Vieira.

Despite the interest of Manchester United, Vieira has indicated a preference to continue in Italy next season and met with Inter sports director Marco Branca in London yesterday to discuss a move to Milan.
Later this week, Inter patron Massimo Moratti is scheduled to meet with Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli to discuss Vieira's situation.
Moratti is willing to put £12 million on the table, which is a cool £4 million more than United have so far indicated they're willing to pay for the Frenchman.
