Man Utd boss Ferguson admits Vieira interest

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed his interest in Juventus midfielder Patrick Vieira.

United looked set to sign Michael Carrick from Tottenham and submitted a £10m bid for him, but the availability of Vieira for around £8m looks likely to scupper that move.
"We're working on several things and talking to several clubs," said Fergie.
"We have made several enquiries for several players but we have held certain things back because of the Juventus situation. I think everybody will be looking at all the Juventus players. Vieira, Gianluigi Buffon, Fabio Cannavaro, Lilian Thuram and Emerson are the ones that people will be focusing on."
