Chelsea are launching a £10 million bid for Juventus fullback Gianluca Zambrotta.
The Sun says Blues boss Jose Mourinho made an approach for World Cup winner Zambrotta yesterday.
The Italian full-back, 29, is keen to try his luck at Stamford Bridge. Mourinho is a big fan of the versatile Zambrotta who can play at full-back or midfield.
He was a key man for Italy in their charge to World Cup glory and has a wealth of Champions League experience under his belt.
With Juventus dropping into Serie B following their match-fixing shame, Zambrotta is keen to make tracks and start afresh.
