Juventus set to lose big over Mediaset deal

Juventus must renegotiate their television contract with Mediaset following demotion to Serie B on Friday.

Il Giornale says thanks to a clause in the existing deal, Mediaset are breathing a huge sigh of relief as they cannot be held to the massive agreement because of Juve's Calciopoli ruling.
Originally, Juve were due a mega £60 million for season 2006/07 and another £120 million for the remaining seasons leading up to 2009.
But Juve directors will now have to sit down with Mediaset and renegotiate terms.
Meanwhile, Sky TV have pledged to stick with both Juve and Lazio, despite their relegation. It's reported that the commitment has more to do with their agreement having no get-out clause than any show of solidarity with the shamed clubs.
