Liverpool set up loan deal for Trezeguet

Liverpool chief Rick Parry admits their summer spending is not over.

The Guardian says a loan deal for Juventus striker David Trezeguet is being considered following the Turin club's demotion to Serie B.
The arrival of Trezeguet would give Liverpool a stable of strikers to compete with the other Premiership heavyweights and the chief executive Parry made it clear that, with plans for a new stadium close to fruition, the club's summer spending is not yet over.
"There is a lot of work going on with the stadium and, all being well, it will come to a head soon. That will be in weeks rather than months," said Parry. "Every year is important and we are happy with who we have brought in but we haven't finished yet."
