Arsenal are favorites for Chievo Verona winger Franco Semioli.
The Italy international is being cashed in by Chievo this summer and Arsenal's spending power has seen them jump to the front of the queue of clubs chasing Semioli's signature.
Palermo and Roma have both been locked in talks for some weeks with Chievo officials, but Arsenal are close to clinching a deal after offering £6 million to club president Luca Campedelli this week.
