Tottenham in Inter Milan talks over £10M Martins

Tottenham are ready to make a major bid for Inter Milan striker Obefami Martins.

The People says Spurs boss Martin Jol fancies the Nigeria international as a replacement for Jermain Defoe.
Spurs made an approach to the Serie A giants last week and are willing to pay around £10million for the pacy Martins, who first caught the eye against Arsenal in Europe a couple of years ago.
Jol is in the market for a fast, clever forward because Defoe seems sure to go, with Newcastle on red alert for him after Michael Owen's horror injury.
Jol has also looked at Charlton's Darren Bent, but Tottenham see Martins as the better bet if the price and wages are right.
