Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is offering a massive £12 million to bring Middlesbrough striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni back to the south coast.
The Mirror says Redknapp hopes to clinch the record-breaking capture of the Nigerian hit-man in the next few days.
Top agent Pini Zahavi is taking a major hand in Pompey's dealings, which are backed by co-owner Sacha Gaydamak's cash. He is also Yakubu's personal agent.
