Argentina boss Alfio Basile has backed Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to make a big impression with West Ham this season.

Basile said: "They are great players and now they will get to know the Premier League very well. They are already top international stars so they would be good to any team that buys them.
"That is why they are in the Argentinian team - they will play well in any team, with anybody."
Basile is confident the 22-year-olds will get even better under the guidance of Hammers boss Alan Pardew as they prepare for the challenge of European football for the first time in their careers.
The Argentina boss said: "I can't really have an opinion on them joining West Ham because I had nothing to do with it.
"That was something which happened with Corinthians, but all I can say is that whether they play for Chelsea or for West Ham they will still be in the national team.
"The move will make them both better players because it is very competitive, one of the best leagues in the world. If you play in important leagues you grow as a player."
