Wenger happy with players determination

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says his players showed their determination to go one better this season after winning in Hamburg last night.

Arsenal new boy Tomas Rosicky smashed in from 25 yards after Gilberto's penalty put the Gunners ahead.
Boss Wenger said: "If we had gone out in qualifying, people would have said reaching the final last season was a bad accident.
"What happened in Paris is an incitement for all of us to come back and win it.
"The frustration and desire is so big inside us. It is an added pressure but we want to come back and win the trophy."
Hamburg boss Thomas Doll was furious keeper Sascha Kirschstein was sent off for a 12th-minute trip on Robin van Persie. Gilberto scored from the resulting penalty.
Doll said: "I cannot explain and do not understand how the referee can give a penalty for that and then send our keeper off for that.
"We would not have lost with 11 men.
"Van Persie had played the ball too far and realised he couldn't score. He stood on the keeper's hand and fell over."
Wenger admitted: "It looked like a penalty to me but the red card was a bit harsh. You have to show a bit of compassion to the keeper when it's in the penalty area like that.
"It was a promising game until the keeper was sent off. Unfortunately, the same thing happened to us in the final last season.
"But we can take a lot of confidence from this win and, hopefully, we can go on and express ourselves from here."
