Sampdoria shortlist Lippi

Former Italy coach Marcello Lippi is being linked with Walter Novellino's job at Sampdoria.
Novellino is understood to have three games to turn results around before Samp's board begin seeking out his replacement.
Lippi tops their shortlist, with the World Cup winner having started both his playing and coaching careers in Genoa. It's reported he would welcome a return, which could happen before the end of the month.
