Chelsea have approached AC Milan about defender Alessandro Nesta's availability.
The Sun says Blues boss Jose Mourinho wants Nesta, robbed of a place in the World Cup final victory over France by injury, to bolster his backline.

A source close to the San Siro giants revealed: "Chelsea have made an enquiry.
The deal would depend on AC Milan being relegated.
Basically, Chelsea have said 'If the worst comes to the worst for you, don't sell Nesta to anyone else. We will pay more and definitely want him'."
