Redknapp names Adams as Portsmouth No2
Portsmouth have appointed former England captain Tony Adams as boss Harry Redknapp's new assistant.
The former Arsenal defender began his managerial career at Wycombe with mixed success but has been given the opportunity to return to full-time coaching at Fratton Park.
Adams, 39, will officially take up his role on Saturday.
Redknapp told the club's website: "Tony is a guy I have a lot of respect for and feel he can do a great job for us.
"He knows the game inside out and I'm really looking forward to him joining Pompey and to starting to work alongside me.''
