Roeder in the firing line

Newcastle United boss Glenn Roeder is fighting for his job after last night's dismal defeat at home to Sheffield United.
The News of the World says Roeder watched his Toon side booed off the pitch as they crashed 1-0 at home to Sheffield United.
The defeat leaves them level on points with Charlton at the bottom of the Premiership. And furious Magpies chairman Freddy Shepherd warned: "Our Premiership results have been disappointing.
"The general feeling is that we are better than the low position we currently occupy.
"But you do not get points for what you deserve.
"You only get points for results and our results in the Premiership have simply not been good enough this season."
It was the first time the Blades had scored an away goal in the Premiership for more than 12 YEARS.
And Roeder's new No2 Nigel Pearson added: "There is no doubt everyone is looking at Premiership results. That is what a club of our stature is judged by. The players are trying very hard to put things right but we are all aware of the expectations."
