Roma executive director Rosella Sensi has told coach Luciano Spalletti money will be available in January to strengthen their Serie A chances.
After joining Palermo at the top of the table last night, Sensi said: "It's too soon to boast, we're only five weeks in.
"But the victory serves to boost our morale after the defeat against Valencia. We did it with many important absences and that's good for the overall squad.
"During the international break we hope to regain some of our injured players and also study the market for what we can do in January. We will have the chance to strengthen the squad and give ourselves a chance in the championship.
"But I say to everyone, let's keep our feet on the ground. The season has only just begun."
