Rooney: Losing Ruud big Man Utd blow

Wayne Rooney admits losing Ruud van Nistelrooy this summer is a big blow for Manchester United.

The Dutch ace left for Real Madrid on the back of a bust-up with boss Alex Ferguson - and his goals have gone with him.
Rooney said: "Ruud is a fantastic player. You can see that by the amount of goals he has scored over the years. It will be hard to replace him. He has averaged 30 goals a season and Ruud going is a big blow to us."
It will mean even more weight on Rooney's shoulders this season - a season in which he is determined to get United back on the title track.
He admitted: "I think we have the talent and quality to win the title and I hope we will be champions. Man U are one of biggest clubs in the world and to go three or four seasons without winning the league is not good enough.
"We have to win it this year. It will be very frustrating if we do not. If Chelsea win again, it will be bitterly disappointing."
