Mourinho to banish Gallas to Chelsea reserves

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is ready to jettison William Gallas from his first team.

The Daily Mail says Mourinho has told Gallas he will be left to rot in the reserves after he failed to report for the club's pre-season tour of America.
Defiant Gallas, who told Chelsea at the end of last season that he wanted to leave, refused to report for training in Los Angeles on Monday but will not be sold.
Gallas has one year left on his contract and discussions on a new deal are ongoing, but he is just the latest in a long line of players who are disaffected with Mourinho.
Didier Drogba, Hernan Crespo, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Ricardo Carvalho, Joe Cole, Wayne Bridge and Arjen Robben have all expressed dissatisfaction with Mourinho in the past 12 months. Now Gallas has been added to that list, but Chelsea have no intention of selling him.
