Fenerbahce striker Nicolas Anelka claims he has agreed a deal with Bolton Wanderers.
Anelka is looking to end his spell in Turkey and has been hankering after a return to The Premiership for some time.
A number of avenues have proved to be blind alleys, but he claims a deal with Bolton is close to being finalised.
"My wish is to return to the Premier League and it could materialise soon," the former Arsenal man told L'Equipe.
"I have an agreement with Bolton on the basis of a four-year contract.
"I hope everything will be finalised early next week."
Bolton chief Sam Allardyce has missed out on a number of striking targets this summer, notably Andy Johnson, but a deal for Anelka would bring a smile to the face of many Trotters fans.
