Sir Alex Ferguson admits Manchester United have made no further progress in their attempt to lure Owen Hargreaves away from Bayern Munich.

Ferguson has made the England midfielder his major transfer target before the window closes on August 31.
However the Bundesliga champions are refusing publicly to contemplate the transfer, not even if United come up with £34million according to general manager Uli Hoeness.
"Nothing really has changed," said Ferguson. "We are trying hard but Bayern are proving very stubborn and resistant, which I can understand.
"We can only do our best and that is what we will keep doing because we are trying to build a strong squad of players.
"Owen is a special type of player and he would be part of what we want to achieve."
